I recieved my copy as a gift, and have read it already many many times. I am blown away by Joey's talents. I can relate to every-single word. Thank god for poets like him who can find the words to express those emotions and feelings. Who are able to bring our hearts out and in black and white make tangible what all to often remains unexpressed ... The abilty to connect to other people ... I think that Joey is really the shine.. like a light in the darkness...we can really see and say, yes I have felt that way too, I am not alone.

Words are not my tool as an artist, clearly, but this collections of poems has moved me so much it has a inspired me to work again thank you so much for sharing your love and your pain. I treasure this book.

Joey your book is inspirational. Having been in an abusive relationship and always trying to find the light it is affirming to read your words of pain. There is a line for some of hate and love which makes it hard to not allow one's self to be led by another's pain. The book was a gift and I thank you for your ray of sun and you are brighter than any star in the dark night sky. Your talent is healing and unfounded by most. As a musician I sing and play the song but to write the words has been heartwrenching. Your words are like a song that will sing in my heart for a long time.

This author has a rare talent as a writer and poet (possible song writer). The poems reflect one man's experience which emit a true and beautiful image of love, hope and life. His innovative use of voice creates exciting and worthy images, powerful feelings and personal connections for a reader.

This book of poems is a perfect gift and will always be treasured by those who read it.
